Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) stopped by the Sources Say with Juliegrace podcast this week and when the resurfaced college poetry came up, he addressed it head on.

If you missed it, TMZ and the Daily Mail managed to dig up a poem Swalwell wrote at 19 called "Hungover From Burgundy." The poem describes two lovers meeting at a hotel for what he wrote as "formless and magnificent" sex.

When asked about it, Swalwell told us he doesn't remember much about it and has tried to go find it. He added that it won a competition at a Christian college, noting "if it was good enough for a Christian college, I don't think it was that bad."

The California Democrat also joked "I hope they don't find my diary when I was 12."

\Swalwell is currently running for governor of California and has served fourteen years in Congress representing California's 14th district. Catch the full episode of Sources Say with Juliegrace on YouTube, Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
