SOURCES SAY ☕ The Hill Spill
Welcome to the first edition of Sources Say's Hill Spill, your new weekly newsletter for the good, the bad and the ugly on Capitol Hill and beyond! There may not be a DHS funding deal yet, but we have plenty of tea to spill. It's a beautiful day in Washington, cherry blossoms are at peak bloom, the vibes are immaculate (well, maybe not for some of the people we are writing about in this week's edition 😬). Grab a drink. Pull up. Happy hour is officially in session. 🌸🍸👀
🍸 ON THE ROCKS: Dan Crenshaw takes aim at Cory Mills over hooker allegations
Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) is joining us on next week's pod and he had a lot to say about his controversial colleague Rep. Cory Mills (R-Fla.). Mills is facing serious allegations that he solicited sex workers and endangered others on a trip to evacuate Americans out of Afghanistan following the chaotic 2021 troop withdrawal, first reported by journalist Roger Solenberger and NOTUS' Reese Gorman.
Crenshaw did not hold back. "I was telling leadership about Cory Mills. I knew all that crap about his run-in with a bunch of Georgia[n] prostitutes that must have snuck into his bedroom and made him have sex with them. I'm sure that's right,” he told us. “It could have been an accident, but yeah, now it's all out in the open. You know, I knew that years ago. … And I was like, guys, like, this guy's bad news, I'm telling you. So like, history will always, I've learned too that just if, as long as you just keep doing the right things, history will tell the truth eventually.”
And we have a new receipt 📸. Multiple sources tell us the photo below depicts the now-congressman — whose divorce was finalized in recent weeks — getting handsy with a woman who is most definitely not his then-wife.

Mills denied the woman pictured was a sex worker, telling us: "This is clearly not in a room but rather a hotel bar where we invited friends for drinks. There were over 12 people, male and female present. I absolutely deny that I engaged in any prostitution or inappropriate behavior of any kind other than drinking at the bar," adding he has friends who would back his denial.
This is far from Mills' first rodeo with controversy. The Florida congressman has previously faced allegations of domestic assault, had a restraining order against him for cyberstalking and threats of revenge porn, failed to disclose the secret nonprofit he created after the Afghanistan trip as required by law and is currently under an active Ethics probe.
🎙️ ON TAP THIS WEEK: Eric Swalwell joined us to discuss the governor's race, clear the air on Fang Fang and more
Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) joined us to talk his gubernatorial run, the Fang Fang allegations that Republicans love to drag him for, why Congress has become the WWE, and who he sees as the future of the Democratic Party.
And he details a surprising bathroom encounter he had with Ted Cruz. Full episode out now!
🥃Bottom’s Up: Dave Joyce's primary opponent is baring it all
Ohio Rep. Dave Joyce's primary opponent Niki Frenchko is leaning into some unconventional branding. Dubbed "Naked Niki" by critics and accused of running an OnlyFans, Frenchko launched OnlyFrenchko.com.

Screenshot from Frenchko’s website.
The site has some photos that are racier than the typical family photos you'd normally see on a campaign website and "exclusive content" that is, disappointingly for some, just her policy platform. Visitors will find her positions on the Second Amendment, abolishing property taxes and releasing the Epstein files, plus a breakdown of Joyce's voting record.
"Voters who visit OnlyFrenchko.com won't find scandal, they'll find the unfiltered truth about Frenchko's America-First agenda," her campaign said in its announcement.
🍺 WE DIDN'T ORDER THIS: Madison Cawthorn's past just got a reality TV plot twist
In a reality TV crossover no one saw coming, one of the men cast on the recently pulled season of The Bachelorette was behind the wheel during the 2014 crash that left former Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.) permanently disabled. Brad Ledford was 17 when he allegedly fell asleep at the wheel and sent the vehicle into a concrete barrier.
The two have never agreed on what happened after the crash. Cawthorn has said he was left trapped as the car caught fire. Ledford has called that flat-out false.
Ledford's season got pulled days before its premiere after domestic violence footage resurfaced of lead Taylor Frankie Paul, who also appears on Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Ledford addressed the cancellation on Instagram, stating: "There's real kids involved, real family involved, and I want the best for them," he said. Cawthorn is running for Congress again.”
🍸 THE HANGOVER: Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick showed up to her Ethics hearing and George Santos has thoughts
The House Ethics Committee held a rare public hearing Thursday on allegations that Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (D-Fla.) stole millions in FEMA funds. Her lawyer argued the proceedings — which she repeatedly requested to delay —could jeopardize her criminal trial. She walked in calling it "an unjust indictment" and said the tactics against her have been "pervasive."
The Hill's Mike Lillis and Emily Brooks also scooped that she sought a pardon at last year's White House Christmas party, something she has denied.
All of this is a headache for Democrats trying to run on an anti-corruption message, especially since most of them voted to expel George Santos, who texted us this morning with feelings.
"If anyone thinks Sheila will say a word to this theater hearing I got a bridge to sell you... she's under federal indictment and anything she says will be used against her, plus perjury charges if she's caught lying under oath to the committee," he said. He added that the committee investigated her for four years while he got expelled "sloppily because it was politically convenient." He also said he wouldn't be watching. "I rather watch the sand drop in an hour glass," he added
Politics aside, we kind of love Jasmine Crockett’s hat.
