Exclusive: Rep. Lauren Boebert denied allegations leveled by American Muckrakers that she had sexual relationships with staff members.

“Well, I’m not a lesbian or bisexual, and I have never, ever been in any inappropriate relationship, nor have I ever been sexually involved with any staff,” Boebert told Sources Say News. Addressing the extra claims attached to the story alleging a relationship with former Rep. Matt Gaetz and his wife, Ginger, she added, “Creative, I’ll give him that!”

Following the allegations dropping, Gaetz took to X to joke: “I am requesting that anyone with video of me in this alleged “threesome” release said evidence IMMEDIATELY! Unedited, please.”

The allegations were brought by David B. Wheeler of American Muckrakers in a Sept. 17 filing with the House Committee on Ethics, signed under penalty of perjury. The document is an unsworn declaration, which federal law treats as equivalent to a sworn affidavit. However, it is not an official committee finding, and the Ethics Committee has not stated whether a review has started.

Wheeler claims Boebert had sexual relationships with three aides who worked under her: former district director Clarice Navarro Ratzlaff, current district chief of staff Raven Finegan and former chief of staff Jeffrey Small. House rules adopted in 2018 bar members from engaging in sexual relationships with employees they supervise, and consent is not a valid defense.

Navarro ran Boebert’s district office from 2021 into early 2025, after serving in the Colorado legislature and at the USDA under the Trump administration.

Wheeler alleges that the relationship lasted for years, with encounters occurring in the office, in a reimbursed vehicle, and in campaign-paid hotel rooms.

He also claims that about $200,000 changed hands in March 2025 after Navarro left and threatened her own ethics complaint, though he does not claim to know the source of the money. Navarro told the Colorado Times Recorder that the claims regarding her are “entirely false, defamatory, and beyond ridiculous.”

Wheeler’s group also circulated a claim from a source alleging that Boebert and Navarro had a threesome with Gaetz. This claim has not been independently verified. American Muckrakers stated that it never claimed a video existed, and none has surfaced.

While payroll records can verify who was paid, they cannot prove a relationship; the affair claims rest primarily on unnamed sources. Wheeler has targeted Boebert for years; in 2022, he published escort allegations that mistakenly used another woman’s photograph, later calling parts of that presentation “sloppy.”
